We all knew when we signed up to this project, it wasn’t going to be a simple and short delivery, but to successfully complete the works with zero safety incidents or injuries and to keep to the original project schedule is a fantastic achievement!

Also, the Hanlon crew on Saturday night during the BT Closure were (as always) on time, well organized and completed all remaining works in only a few hours. Thank you!

Hanlons Industries maintenance team found a better way to unblock an acid drain line that was sulphated over. The team were about to undertake a job on a sulphuric acid line and when they encountered an unexpected blocked drain line. After discussing potential options Hanlons came up with a concept, design and then fabricated a tool to unblock the drain safely. Great job team!

Hanlon Industries have been noted down as been proactive and safety positive on the T2 Sign upgrade. The boys on site have fabricated a retro fit welding box that can be moved around the sign depending on where they are welding to prevent welding flash. This will be now used as an example to other contractors as a minimum requirement. I have also cc’d my Compliance Safety Managers as an example. Well done Hanlon and to the men on the work face who constructed the unit.

Hanlon Industries were awarded the Subcontract to supply and construct reinforced concrete walls and floors, and various miscellaneous works for the Metro Early Works Package at CBDS.
One of the main reasons Hanlon was awarded this package was the innovation to shotcreting the insitu concrete walls, in lieu of traditional formwork and pouring.
Conservatively the saving for this activity was in order of 35% over its competitor.
From the start Hanlon’s approach to the project was excellent. The project as a whole was dealt many challenges and Hanlon worked with John Holland to provide solutions to complete the project on time.
